Where is Pangi Valley?

Pangi Valley is lies between Peer-Panjal & Zanskar ranges, of himalaya. Pangi valley is the most remotest valley india and small tehsil of District Chamba (HP) with HQ at Killar covers approximately 1600 Sq KM and the pangi valley consists of 16 Panchayats and 57 Villages with population of 18868 ( 9,579 males and 9,289 females,as 2011 census ) this valley is located 173km distance away from CHAMBA District through Sach Pass. The height of sach pass is 4395m above Mean Sea Level.

How to reach Pangi Valley?

There are mainly three routes to reach the Pangi Valley, one from Chamba-Killar via Sach Pass second from Kullu-Manali -killar via Rohtang La and Lahaul and the third is from Jammu-Killar (Doda, Kishtwar, & Gulabgarh in way). via Sansari Nala . In winters, Due to heavy snowfall, all these three routes are blocked by the snow and glaciers and the Valley is fully disconnected from the rest of the world. But there is a small helicopter facility available by the HP govt. from Kullu(Buntter) and Chamba to Killar, Sach, Ajog, and Dharwas.

As we all know that Pangi Valley is nature base valley so all the good and bad circumstances also based on nature so the best time to visit Pangi valley is from july to mid-October. In this time nature blossom beautifully mountains look evergreen , rivers are full of its streams and climate become fine and fun.

The People of Pangi valley are mainly Hindu and Buddhist they are robust, hardworking, handsome people who keep the valley's unique culture alive in folk songs, music and tribal dances along with oldest custom and technique's.
